Howto setup a MacBook for PHP development
What's this article series about?
Working with Mac OsX for at least 18 month I finally decided to do a fresh start with Mac OsX 10.5.7. So I cleared the hard drive of my MacBook and reinstalled the operation system. I use the MacBook for my daily work so I do have special requirements on the environment:
Apache (at least in version 2)
xDebug
PHP 5
PEAR mit phpUnit, phpDocumentor
MySQL 5
I formerly used MAMPP, but had a lot of troubles configuring and running it. So I decided not to depend on MAMPP this time.
This article series will show you how I managed to setup my MacBook for PHP development.
