  Now, this I call a nice XMas surprise. I got the confirmation to speak at confoo 2011 right after XMas. Believe me I was really surprised since I applied for it the second time now and last time I did not get accepted. So what am I going to talk about? This article will tell you.

• My first video training @video2brain

  Video2brain asked Sascha Kersken and me earlier this year if we are interested in recording a training session, covering topics related to the PHP 5.3 and enhanced software development. I was really flattered and honored and did not hesitate a second to respond. The recording happened the last two weekends and I am really satisfied with te outcome.

• WebTech Conference and IPC 2010 - a wrap up

  Done is done… or I am done conferencing for this year. Since the last conference of this year, the combination of WebTechCon and International PHP conference is done, I am really looking forward to a few days of vacation next week. But before I do want to miss the part where I will tell you about my last conference of this year.

  This year I have the special honor to couple up with Jakob Westhoff to deliver a very new concept of full day workshop at the WebTech Conference. Apart from that I decided to talk about the inner secrets of jQuery.

  I am very proud to announce that I was invited to speak at the OSIDays in Chennai, India this year. It turns out to be a quite busy conference for me since I am not only providing a 4hrs workshop, but also have two session to give.

• Advanced Eclipse Workshop (IPC Spring Edition 2010)

  As I already mentioned in a former article Nils Langner and I gave a workshop about advanced Eclipse Topics. As we wanted to cover all the cool stuff, we certaily had to ask Sven Kiera to introduce his PHP Tool Integration (PTI). Read this article how it turned out.

• Webtech conference opens its CFP

  It's been a while the webtech conference started its call for papers. If you haven't heard of it it's all about web technology and Web 2.0 techniques.

• Speaking at the IPC2k10 (spring edition)

  This year I proposed for an whole day advanced Eclipse workshop. Unfortunately we only got half a day to teach our topics. Nevertheless I am seeing people getting more experienced in using this IDE, why we could focus on the more advanced topics. I invited Nils Langner (phphatesme.com) to join me on this topic. Nils has a lot of experiences in this whole validators stuff. I am really looking forward to a nice and hopefully enlightening session (sorry german only).

• PHP Barcamp Salzburg

  Earlier this year I got the invitation to the PHP Barcamp in Salzburg, Austria. I was really surprised since I did not know there was an active PHP community in Austria at all.

  This year I do have the pleasure to speak at the PHPNW09 in Manchester. I will talk about how to create beautiful API documentation with phpDocumentor.
