Bastian's Blog ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :Author: lapis :Date: Fri, 15 Jul 2011 18:59:58 +0200 :Copyright: CC by-nc-sa ======== Software ======== - PHPUnit - Some lesser known features As I am a bit obsessed with testing and unit testing in particular. As I am also a trainer I am trying to watch people on how they do solve different problems in their daily work. Doing this I recognized that almost everyone does not read any documentation nor has the drive to know more about the tools he is using, and stays in his boundaries of knowleadge until someone hits his nose against other possibilities. This is kind of the article is about - getting to know PHPUnit a bit more and be aware of it's nice and problem solving features. - Keybindings in Eclipse PDT I do use the Eclipse PDT a lot for PHP and Javascript development. So most of the time I have my fingers on the keyboard and find it really annoying if I have to grab the mouse to run any kind of repeated or often used action in my IDE. Means I do use shortcuts very often. Inspired by Nils (phphatesme.com) I decided not to write my findings in a mega comment but write this blog article. - To Sync or not to Sync… Two weeks ago I got the chance to catch a peek at the Motorola Milestone from a friend of mine. I went to amazon the same evening and bought it not able to resist. Getting my hand on this smartphone soonish the need appeared to get all my contacts spreaded all over the different social networks into this single place - turns out this was quite challenging and work intense… - Channelling for FluentDOM It's been a while now since FluentDOM was born. Since then we managed to rollout three releases. Last week Thomas pointed out that having another way to deploy FluentDOM to the wild would be nice. We decided to provide a PEAR package, but do not want to add FluentDOM to the PEAR repositories. So I set up our own PEAR Channel… - papaya release 5.0 and a new website !! Congratulations!! After quite a time papaya software gmbh finally decided to release the 5.0 version of the papaya CMS. - Howto setup PEAR on a MacOsX 10.5 Being the last episode of this tutorial for now, I will tell you about how to install and setup the PHP Extension Archive Repository (PEAR). The PEAR provides a lot of supportive modules thus as phpDocumentor and PHPUnit. - Howto setup xDebug on a MacOsX 10.5 The second episode of the little tutorial spends some time of installing and configuring the PHP Extension xDebug. - Howto setup the apache webserver on a MacBook This is the second part of the series of articles how to setup your Mac for PHP development.
